In plain tidal river network areas, the water flow rate is slow and the mobility is poor, the problem of waterlogging drainage is serious. Taking the Xiaolan Town, Zhongshan City as an example, a one-dimensional river network mathematical model of hydrodynamic was constructed, which was used to study the improvement of river hydrodynamic characteristic and waterlogging drainage by characteristic water levels control/gate and pump construction/river regulation. The result show that the large variation range of water level helps to improve the river hydrodynamic characteristic and water supplement. On the premise of limited land and space utilization, the pump construction has the best effect to control water level. The determination of flood limit water level has effect on the pump discharge, which affect safety of the whole flood control system. The flood limit water level determined by combing the underground water level、the safety of dike、the risk of flood and water lever for landscape. This paper can offer reference for similar tidal river network areas.
